Our History
The United Distributors story began in 1940 in Atlanta, GA. At the request of key suppliers, the Hertz family expanded their beverage distribution business into Alabama in 2003, creating a statewide distributor named MBC-United. Throughout the years, the business has merged with and acquired multiple additional businesses and compatible portfolios, combining several of the largest beverage distributors in Alabama.
Today, our companies are known as United Distributors of Alabama, LLC (in Alabama) and United Distributors, LLC (in Mississippi). We represent wine, beer, and non-alcoholic suppliers in all 67 counties in Alabama and operate as a spirits brokerage business throughout both Alabama and Mississippi. We continue to be a leader and innovator in the beverage distribution industry and remain focused on growth, leveraging our most distinct market advantages in order to maintain upward momentum for generations to come.
